Please see below for some ideas of where to visit while you are in Menorca:

Monte Toro (Es Mercadal)

Monte Toro is the highest point of the island, standing at 354 metres above sea level. Your arrival to the summit is greeted by an imposing and impressive statue of Jesus Christ with outstretched arms, paying homage to the Menorcans who sacrificed their lives during the Spanish Moroccan wars. On a clear day the 360º views from the summit are truly breath-taking.

After taking in the views, you can have a drink or a snack in the café, and a wander round the gift shop. Don’t forget to visit the beautiful monastery and chapel, which still runs catholic services every Sunday.

La Mola (Mahon)

Home to the fortress of Isabel II which was built in the 19th Century after the demolition of San Felipe Castle on the far side of Mahon Harbour.  It offers a fascinating look at this period in history, and to this day there are still two British Vickers guns at La Mola.

One of these guns can be seen during the guided tour along with the underground magazines and loading chambers - it has never been fired in battle but is an impressive sight to behold.

Torre D´en Galmes (Son Bou)

Torre D´en Galmes is the largest ancient settlement in Menorca and definitely worth a visit for history enthusiasts. The site is well preserved and offers a glimpse into Menorca´s fascinating past. There is a small visitor centre, and informative board displays throughout the site.  It is located on the main road between Alaior and Son Bou. We would recommend visiting early

morning, late afternoon or on a cloudier day, as there is not much shelter from the Mediterranean sun.

Subaida (Alaior)

Menorca is famed for its cheese, and Subaida offers a unique insight into its cheese making tradition. This renowned working farm is nestled in the heart of the Menorcan countryside, close to the town of Alaior. Their guided tour will introduce you to its farm, stables, animals and cheese factory, concluding with a tasting session of typical Menorcan products alongside its award winning Subaida cheese. There is a farm shop where you can purchase an array of locally produced delicacies.

Lloc de Menorca Zoo (Alaior)

Highly recommended by our local team, especially those with young children, Lloc de Menorca is home to a wide range of both native and exotic species. This family-run zoo allows you to get up close and personal with its residents, including feeding the goats, handling the reptiles, and wandering through the lemur forest. The animals are well looked after, and the enclosures are created to be as natural and enriching as possible. Many of the residents are rescue animals, so if you decide to visit Lloc de Menorca, you are contributing to an excellent cause. Don’t forget to pack your swimsuit, as there is a fun splash park to cool down in after visiting the animals! Lloc de Menorca also has a snack bar and a gift shop.

Castillo Menorca (Ciutadella)

Castillo Menorca is a firm favourite of some of the Menorca team. It has a swimming pool with a waterslide, trampolines, minigolf, go-karts and play parks to name just a few of its facilities.

It is set in acres of well-kept countryside, with plenty of free sunbeds dotted around to make sure you can enjoy your day in comfort. As well as having plenty to keep the little ones amused, it also has a bar/restaurant and a large gift shop.
